Tomorrow and some reflection.
Tomorrow I plan to finalise the editing of the title sequence. Hopefully by the end of our media lesson, everything will be set in stone. Which means all the shots arranged properly, as well as the re-formatting of the tracks. But obviously, if I feel as though more work needs to be done, I will stay behind and get it done, until I'm happy with the finish product. And throughout the evening, I aim to get through any blogs that I need to do or re-do(as in add more information). Just so that I can feel as though I've enough to be proud of. Hopefully by Friday's deadline, everything, including he blogs will be done and we can finally stop gaining grey hairs and stressing ourselves out. Its so crazy how all of this is coming o an end and that it's a shame that I didn't take it that must seriously until now. Which hopefully isn't too late, and wont reflect badly on my grade/attainment. But all in all, it's been an interesting and crazy few weeks, with all our challenging/conflicting personalities, whiles trying to work together effectively. But never again.
Review of production in pov
Throughout the planning and editing of the title sequence. For me personally, I feel as it has been easier to get things done with a semi structured planned. In terms of having a plan of how we want the beginning and end for the title sequence to be. As we filmed, we gradually grew into making improvised shots and ideas just seem to appear out of nowhere. Plus, in terms of editing, it would have made our title sequence way too long to get through, as it would have been more than at least 4 minutes if we did so. So I'm more than glad, we started to be creative and think outside of the box. We were able to explore our options and that lead us to getting really good shots, that worked well in portraying the message in our story. It also helped with us leaving the audience in suspense, as at first when you first start watching it, you're trying to connect the dots and find out the relation between the girls and the attack.
Likewise, in terms of the music/back track. I stuck with the track I mentioned in the planning of the title sequence, which consisted of Krept and Konan. However, the other in which I thought they should be, changed whiles edited, because I thought that song parts of the song would match specific parts of the story. So in a sense making everything flow and make more sense. Meanwhile, conveying the popular youth trends in music(that being Krept and Konan). As they still matched the storyline and the lyrics also went well in some aspects.
In terms of adding credits. As we didn't use the typical convention of set frames of credits. In the title sequence, its more simplified and brief. I've tried to only use those that will make sense with our title sequence, as we have to bare in mind that we're an independent film production team, that won't have enough money to get all of those aspects as intended in a typical credit frame. But nevertheless, it still consists of the title of the sequence, the actors, music by, production/distribution/written by/ producer.

Editing our title sequence

Today we are putting together the first few shots of our title sequence. At the start we have included the institutional credits of the film and distribution companies in order for our sequence to have the conventions of movie title sequences. After the institutional features we have included our establishing shot of the estate where the most action takes place. The establishing shot consists of a pan which is then cut after a few seconds and followed by the very first shot of two of the main characters - Monique and Jasmine. The transitions between these shots are fade outs in order to add a bit of suspense and enigma. We aim on putting together most of the shots and transitions now and then adding sound once the whole title sequence has been put together.
In order to show that the first part of our sequence is a flashback we will make it black and white by adjusting the saturation of the scenes in Final Cut Pro. In contrast the present scenes will be in colour.

Today, we planned to continue with editing the title sequence. But there were issues with the turn out, as 2 of the group members couldn't attend for reasons they explained, yet only I showed up and spent 3 hours editing alone. But never the less it was productive, as I managed to finally import music into the title sequence, as well as add in other credits to the title sequence. However, because I didn't change the format of the music from mp3 to a format that works efficiently with final cut pro, because I noticed that there were issues with trying to make smooth transitions with them, so I will get that sorted tomorrow. As well as trying to fill in the bits with no audio, that could possibly match with the backing tracks. However, I noticed that I still need to work on some of the transitions of the shots, to get them smooth. In terms of editing though, it's like a back and forth process, as depending of what shots or where you place them and the music, it can jumble the order of the title sequence, which consumes so much time in trying to get the order back in the place. Hence why tomorrow will be used to also re-arrange the order of the title sequence to get the sequence to it's correct position.

During our first editing stages , we had problems with the shot that we had filmed because they were slanted .Due to this we had reshot many of our scenes resulting in our editing having to be postponed . the day we planned to reshoot everything , was very productive . but we had decided that more scenes still had to be filmed because we dint think we had enough . however this resulted in a longer prolonging of the editing , which was not needed because we never used the added scenes because we realised that this was a title sequence not a trailer . we had many productive editing stages after that with the whole group , and many with only a few of us . which Esther doing allot of the editing as she had the most experience , with input given from Imaani on how to change it and make it better.Blogging Health Check 3

As we come to the end of research and planning, your use of ICT for presentation and level of skill should be getting more and more advanced and although you have a nicely detailed blog, it does not demonstrate the progress and sense of development we would expect to see at this stage. The blog should be a creative and visually interesting, multimedia product and there are many posts that are simply typed up i.e 'Editing Our Title Sequence' on 26/2/15 - where are the screen shots? Photos of the group editing?
Also, there are very basic posts which are labelled with the whole group. Whole group posts should demonstrate the work of 4 people!

rough cut 2
This is the second rough cut of our title sequence - Fame vs The Streetz.
In this version, I have managed to accumulate the backing tracks needed to accompany our title sequence. I have also managed to add additional credits.
There is still a little more editing to be done for example, adding more tracks and perfecting transitions between shots in order to give it a seamless finish. As well as adding in new shots with different shot types to create tension and get an reaction from the audience . as adding In our media lesson tomorrow we aim to convert the music tracks into a format that works with Final Cut Pro.Further from the feedback given from Dan , we have decided to add more reaction shot , to further beta reaction from our audience. Overall, it was a very productive editing session and we have confidence that our title sequence will be complete by the end of Thursday or early hours of Friday.
