La Haine
The film opens with a montage of news
footage of the riots that have taken place; over this we have a reggae song by
Bob Marley. After the montage of news footage it opens with a slow 200m on one
of the main boys face, we see the boy name Said which we now because we watch
him tag it onto a police van is wearing tracksuits, we also see the police in
the usual police uniform oblivious to the boy tagging the van.
Said then goes to call out his friend
called Vince in an estate, we hear ambient noises of an estate e.g. dogs
barking and people talking. Said then goes to his friends flat where we see his
name on his rings, the camera angle then goes to a low angle to show both of
the boys with Vince’s face up-close and Said further away.
