4.) Art Of The Title - Adventure Time

Which credits do we see and the order we see them in?

The title sequence illustrates credits such as the title, characters names and the creator. (in that order)

What font type is used for the titles?

The font in the tittle sequence replicates a persons handwriting. I have inferred that the writing is the main characters (Jake's) handwriting because he is a human character.

Where do we see the font?

The title and the characters names are positioned in the center of the frame. The title is bold, red and large and the characters names are small, black and thin. The characters names are placed underneath the title.

What happens behind the font - what do we see?

Behind the first illustration of the Title there is a blue still background. In the second illustration of the Title alongside the characters names the setting is shown in the background and the two main characters are position in the lower center of the frame.

Who are we introduced to?

We are introduced to the two main characters of the programme ; Finn & Jake.

What sound do we hear?

In the beginning of the sequence the sound of wildlife is played in order to match the forest and rural setting that is shown in the mise en scene. Once the two characters fist bump a soundtrack is played until the ending of the sequence.

What do you like about this sequence?

I enjoyed watching the sequence because it is a colorful cartoon and the sequence is fast paced therefore it didn't bore me. In addition, the sequence being fast paced meant that not a lot was given away which intrigues the audience because they want to no more and in order to find out more they will need to watch the cartoon.

Why did you pick it?

I picked Adventure time because it is a simple and intriguing title sequence with varied elements to it.

Responses from other people?

"It's sick and magical because there is a talking dog and the theme tune is very upbeat and catchy"
