Grease
The title sequence starts with an editing
of an montage beach sequence, in this shot we can hear the crashing of waves
and dialogue of what the main people are saying, this is done on a long shot of
them walking down the beach wearing the regular 1950s outfits .we also see an
over the shoulder shot while on the beach as the two main characters talk to
one another.
The next part of the title sequence shows an
animated sequence which has a sound track over it, it then goes to a shot of
the high school where we can hear the chattering of the students and we see
more of the iconic 1950s clothing like the designed leather jackets for the
main group of boys and the pink jackets for the girls, we also see the main
girl wearing modest and innocent clothing completely different to the people
she is hanging around with.
The title sequence stats with a sound track as the parents start talking to the main girl as she is sitting down , as the girl stands up we see a over the shoulder shot as well as multiple mid shots . . the sound track changes as the voice over starts , during this we see videos and pictures of back when she was living in Africa . We then see her going to her first day of school , this is when the story line starts, there is still a voice over of her speaking as she is explaining what is happening on her first day e.g. doesn't understand why she was always getting in trouble for eating in class and leaving the room to go to the toilet without permission . The clothes that are worn are set in the modern times so now and of people of that age e.g. jeans and t.shirts .
