PLOT
- A group of teenagers from North London come together to form a music group.
- The group consists of one singer, one rapper and a producer. ( same dynamic as the main music group in Youngers)
- They go through trials and tribulations in an aim to get to their goal.
- A producer sees each individual character performing their talent and then brings them together.
CHARACTERS
TYRONE played by Fatma
- Tyrone aka 'Ty' is a young teenage rapper that lives on a council estate in North London. He wears the stereotypical 'roadman' attire and speaks heavy slang.
- He is affiliated with gang members but is not in a gang.
- He sells weed as a quick 'cash in hand' job.
- At first is dedicated to the music group but life on the streets catches up with him.
- Gets 'gang banged' and stabbed.
SAMANTHA played by Esther
- Is the singer of the group.
- She is shy but also very headstrong.
- Is determined and knows what she wants in life.
- Her Boyfriend that is in a gang is who stabs Tyrone.
- Was sent from Africa to live with her aunt in London for better educational
- Her parents live in her home country.
JASMINE played by Imaani
- Is the producer of the group.
- Lives in a small house with her parents and 2 siblings located in North London.
- Into studies a lot.
- Wants to become a Lawyer/ philosopher/ writer if music fails.
- Music is where her heart is but she is not naive and is realistic.
- Her parents work full- time so she is often responsible for her siblings.
SARAH (group mentor) played by Saffron
- Manager and mentor of the group.
- In her 30's.
- She helps guide the teens into success and tries to steer Tyrone out of a life of crime alongside the other group members.
WHAT WE WILL SHOW IN THE TITLE SEQUENCE
- Institutional features such as the production company etc.
- FLASHFORWARD- Black outs to represent Tyrone being in and out of consciousness.
- after his attack. As this is shown the sound of police and ambulance sirens will be added.
- Sound of a flat line machine and heartbeat will be played in order to create a tense and anxious atmosphere.
- Jasmine and Samantha end up being at the same scene where Tyrone is after he gets stabbed. This is because prior to the incident they had all planned to meet up at that spot for rehearsals.
- Show finger prints being taken for identification (extreme close up) - Slap Her she's French inspiration
- When the black outs end we will show each individual characters routine. As this happens there will be pauses of each characters face and their names will pop up as part of the title sequence.
- Characters home life in contrast to how they are in school/ in public.
- Artists recording in the studio
