Planning mise-en-scene : location, settings and props

Some Girls inspiration 
We decided to take some elements of Some girls, as first of all we are a group full of girls, so we had to use what we got, which isn't ideal but will have to do.  As some of the bits of film will reflect some girls in a way or another. • Estate( Somewhere that will appeal to our audience, as generally speaking they ill be teenagers from London and it's something that will engage them in and somethng they can relate to as well) 
• Recording Studio(Will be shown when the group are producing material) 
• Outdoors(streets) (when the stabbing takes place and the coming together of the group)

COSTUME


Male characters

One of the male characters will have a stereotypical street and urban look and the other will have an urban style that is a bit more smart to add contrast.This will give the audience an idea of where the characters come from and how they behave. Ideally, this will be suited for the character Tyrone, as he is a representation of a typical black ethnic young adult, being raised in London, around gangs, violence, conflict with police, being labelled and judged/discriminated based on how he dresses, leading him to end up being involved with drugs and all sorts of violence, meanwhile having dreams of "making it out of the hood", he has a clear idea that there's "more to the hood" and that the dream "isn't to stay in the hood, is to make it out and bring more to the table and community". Yet everything around him seems to challenge that or blind side him. 


Female Characters

The female characters will have a casual costume that will relate to their personalities and job. Obviously, each individual will have their own style, which will be noticeable. But we will bare in mind the social division between the mentor and the teenage girls.
